Jennifer Lopez And Jim Carrey Becoming
Scientologists? |
Jennifer
Lopez and Jim Carrey attended Tom
Cruise's wedding because they have
converted to Scientology, it has
been claimed.
Many people were surprised to see
J.Lo and Carrey at the marriage
between Cruise and Katie Holmes in
Italy, but it has been suggested
they are linked by the Church of
Scientology.
A source told the New York Post
newspaper: "Jim is taking the
introductory and beginner's courses
in Scientology right now.
"J.Lo is a close friend of
Scientologist Leah Rimini. She has
started using Scientology phrases
and explains the church to people.
Leah has always talked to Jennifer
about the church without pressuring
her.
"Scientology appeals to J.Lo,
because in the early stages, it is a
lot of self-help."
Lopez, 37, has reportedly turned to
Scientology in a bid to improve her
chances of getting pregnant, but her
singer husband Marc Anthony is said
to be furious with her decision.
Anthony is a devout Catholic and has
slammed the bizarre sci-fi cult -
which believes in alien life forms.A
representative for J.Lo has denied
she has become a Scientologist,
saying, "I have no knowledge of
this, but I probably wouldn't have a
comment on it if I did."
Carrey's representative has also
refuted the claims, insisting: "He
is not taking Scientology classes."

Jennifer Lopez And Marc Anthony Laugh Off
Adoption Reports |
|
JENNIFER
LOPEZ and MARC ANTHONY have laughed
off reports they are planning to
adopt a child from Puerto Rico. The
couple, who wed two years ago (04),
has strong ties to the Caribbean
island - their families descend from
the US territory. Recent reports
suggested the couple were
considering adoption after Lopez,
37, struggled to conceive. However,
Lopez's publicist insists the
rumours are untrue.

Jennifer Lopez To Adopt Puerto Rican Child |
JENNIFER
LOPEZ is the latest Hollywood
celebrity to reveal she is looking
to adopt a child from abroad,
according to the new reports.
The singer and actress has said she
and husband MARC ANTHONY, who
married in 2004, are planning to
adopt a baby from Puerto Rico.
J-Lo is joining the elite A-list
celebrity adoption club, after
MADONNA, ANGELINA JOLIE and TOM
CRUISE all adopted children from
foreign countries.
Although J-LO has always denied the
rumours that she was receiving IVF
treatment in order to conceive,
these latest rumours appear to
suggest the MAID IN MANHATTAN star
could be having difficulties getting
pregnant.
A source said: "Jen and Marc are
dying to have kids but it just
doesn't seem to be working for them.
"Jen realises she's not getting any
younger, so they've jointly decided
that adoption may be the answer to
their prayers."
The source added that the couple
have had "some very serious
conversations about it" and have
decided to look for children from
Puerto Rico as both their parents
are from the country.

Jennifer Lopez And Marc Anthony To Renew Vows |
|
JENNIFER
LOPEZ and MARC ANTHONY are planning
to renew their wedding vows after
being wowed by TOM CRUISE and KATIE
HOLMES' nuptials in Italy last month
(NOV06). The singers wed in a
private backyard ceremony in June
2004, but now feel they should plan
a grander event to declare their
love for each other all over again
after attending the Cruise/Holmes
affair. A source tells America's
Life + Style magazine, “Jennifer and
Marc were in awe of Tom and Katie’s
bash. Their own wedding cost only
about $50,000 and Jen wore an
off-the-rack gown, so now they want
something spectacular.” The source
claims the couple has even thought
about a date - 5 June (07), their
third wedding anniversary - and
Lopez believes the Ritz-Carlton in
Puerto Rico will be the perfect
location.”

Jennifer Lopez Unimpressed With Young Starlets |
Jennifer
Lopez is tired of hearing about the
out-of-control starlets of today who
have become brainwashed by their
fame.
The Latina star recently lashed out
at young Hollywood stars who
deliberately court the spotlight.
In a recent interview, the
37-year-old slammed her younger
rivals when asked if she "turns her
eye to young Hollywood style-makers
like Nicole Richie, Keira Knightley
and Scarlett Johansson."
J.Lo told Harper's Bazaar magazine,
"I don't spend much time thinking
about 'those girls.' Fame is very
intoxicating. You don't realize what
you're doing when you're young."

emulate Barbara Streisand's stellar
career path, and was thrilled when

and I have the utmost respect for
her as being strong and having
survived in this business. A few
years ago I sent her two scripts

When she called back, I was too
stars truck to talk to her, so my

Jennifer Lopez's Ex Fights To Release Tell-All
Book |
Jennifer Lopez's first husband,
Ojani Noa, told a judge Friday that
he plans to fight her efforts to
quash a tell-all memoir.
Noa, 31, said in a pretrial hearing
that he regrets agreeing to a June
30 preliminary injunction that
prohibits him from "criticizing,
denigrating, casting in a negative
light or otherwise disparaging or
causing disparagement" to Lopez.
"I want to fight this thing to the
end," he said. "My life has not been
the same since this lawsuit was
filed."
The judge gave Noa until Jan. 17 to
hire a lawyer or represent himself.
Lopez filed her lawsuit April 10 and
obtained a temporary restraining
order barring Noa from publishing
intimate details of their sex life.
Noa said Friday that Lopez
misunderstood what the book was
about.
"This was to be about my life story,
coming here from Cuba," he said.
"She was only a part of my life, but
I was going to talk about my other
girlfriends, as well."
Lopez, who has appeared in films
such as "Selena" and "Out of Sight,"
married Noa in February 1997 after
meeting him in a Miami restaurant.
They divorced 11 months later.
